Terms and Conditions for SYVN Enquiries, Learning and Services

Effective date: 22 August 2026

1. About us

The Serious Youth Violence Network (SYVN) is operated commercially by Alkhami Consultancy & Training Ltd (“Alkhami”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Address: 144 Potters Lane, Aston, Birmingham, B6 4UU
Email: info@syvn.org.uk
Website: www.syvn.org.uk

2. Scope

These terms apply to enquiries, free learning resources and courses or professional services offered through SYVN. Additional terms may apply to a particular paid course or service. Where they do, we will provide them in writing before enrolment or payment.

3. Current paid-programme position

Paid programme information is currently provided on an enquiry basis. Programme names, format, duration, access arrangements, fees, payment options and cohort dates are not confirmed by this page. They will be set out in the current written offer or course agreement supplied to you before you commit to enrol or pay.

Submitting an enquiry or completing the Impact Pathway Assessment does not create a contract or guarantee a place on a programme.

4. Enrolment, fees and payment

Where a paid offer is made, the applicable fee, payment schedule, access arrangements and any eligibility requirements will be confirmed in writing. Enrolment is confirmed only when the conditions in that written offer have been met and SYVN has issued confirmation.

We will not rely on historical website prices, instalment amounts or payment routes where they conflict with the current written offer.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation and refund arrangements for a paid course or service will be provided in the applicable written offer or agreement. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you may have. Questions or cancellation requests should be sent to info@syvn.org.uk.

6. Delivery and access

Free and paid learning may be delivered through the SYVN website, a virtual learning portal, live sessions or another method stated in the relevant offer. Course content, support, access periods, assessment requirements and completion arrangements will be described in the applicable course information.

Learners are responsible for keeping their login details secure and for using course materials only for their own authorised learning.

7. Free resources and the Impact Pathway Assessment

Free resources and assessment recommendations are provided for professional learning and development. They do not replace organisational safeguarding procedures, supervision, legal advice, emergency arrangements or a formal competence or risk assessment.

8. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, SYVN course materials, assessment content, guides and resources are owned by or licensed to Alkhami. They are provided for personal professional learning and must not be copied, resold, distributed or republished without written permission.

9. Data protection

We handle personal information in accordance with the SYVN Privacy Policy. Do not send identifiable information about children, families or live safeguarding cases through general website or enquiry forms.

10. Support, concerns and complaints

For course support, a concern or a complaint, contact the SYVN support team at info@syvn.org.uk. We will acknowledge the matter, identify the appropriate person to review it and explain the next step. This role-based route avoids depending on an individual member of staff.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these terms when our services or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current public version. Terms already agreed for a paid course or service will continue to be governed by the applicable written agreement unless lawfully varied.
